COUNCIL MEMBER MORGAN RESIGNS - JUDY O’BRIEN APPOINTED TO SEAT

At the February regular council meeting mayor Graves read a letter from Jack Morgan stating that he was resigning from council. Mr. Morgan was also the Council Pro-Tem. mayor Graves asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to fill the seat. Residents John Shaw, Judy O?’Brien and Tom Watkins requested the seat. Voting was two votes for Judy O?’Brien and two votes for Tom Watkins, mayor Graves broke the tie, choosing Ms. O?’Brien. Next was voting for a new Council pro tem, Ms. O?’Brien was elected the new Council president, congratulations Ms. O?’Brien.
