Village Of Valleyview

Councilwoman Judy O'Brien has tendered her resignation from the Valleyview Village Council. The Council will be taking action on her resignation at the October 4th Council Meeting.

By the current rules of Council the vacated seat on Council will be filled at a Special Meeting to be held ten days after the resignation is considered by the Council.

Residents who are interested in being considered to fill the seat need to send a resume to the Village Hall. We ask that you include information about your outside activities and any additional information that you feel the Council should consider.

The resident elected by the Village Council to fill the seat will fill the unexpired term which expires December 31, 2005.

On a personal note I would like to thank Ms. O'Brien for her service to the Village. Ms. O'Brien represented the residents of this Village and was a stalwart against the abuse of the rights of the residents during the past administration.

I am truly honored to have served with Ms. O'Brien and I want to thank her for her work on the Council and for the residents. I believe that Ms. O'Brien always considered what was best for the residents of the Valleyview before making any decisions.

I wish her well and I know that Ms. O'Brien will continue to be an asset to the community and will remain involved in many of the other activites going on in the Village.

Again, Thank You from the bottom of my heart for your service to Valleyview. I have enjoyed working with you and I will continue to call upon you for input and guidance.

I am curious as to why Ms. O'Brien resigned. There was such an issue raised as to why council waited so long to appoint her.

If my thoughts are correct, another resignation will be soon.
