Village Of Valleyview

New Police Chief

Posted in: Village Of Valleyview
Not Starting Trouble

You have more than you can handle now, with certain people in power. You always had your head in the sand, when it pleased you. If you had listened, you wouldn't have a Russolillo man as mayor and street commissioner and some of his people on council.

Asking about using LEADS is a reasonable question considering who you are making chief.

You were on council, so why didn't you bring up the General Orders? Were you waiting for a change in council?

People would make suggestions before. They were thrown out. Then the mayor would bring them up as his own.

Watkins is the worst person I can think of as mayor. I remind you again, I will make his history public. You want to go with him, since you ignored it? You can't say you didn't know.

Why have you waited so long to go after Raylene? You are one who throw out the resolution to make her pay.

What about all the money gone because of Hunt and Cain? You have a selective idea of who should pay and who should get away. What about Russolillo and Pomeroy?

When the sheriff refused do anything about the threats against me and the theft at my house, Valleyview should have intervened and helped me. But I was forced to move.

It is old, when you keeping saying you care about Valleyview and it's residents. Your caring is for those who you think can help or listen to you.

There Is A Lot To Do

I supported Mayor Watkins for the position because I believed and still believe that from the choices available he is the best person for the job. The Street Commissioner has done a good job over the past year and half. I have no complaints about his performance other than he has not attended many Council Meetings to report the progress of the street repairs. As to my fellow members on Council, I believe that every one of them are working for what they believe to be the best interests of the Village and not for their best interests as I believed others were doing in the past.

If there is abuse of the leads systems then it will be investigated. I have not heard such complaints.

Ms. White, the General Orders are written by the Mayor. Why Raylene failed to prescribe general orders would be for her to answer. The Ordinance simply states that the Mayor will prescribe general orders and they will be written. This is a protection for the Chief, the Mayor and Council. You cannot hold the Chief accountable for General Orders that were not written down. It protects all parties involved. I do not believe a different Council would change the language of the Ordinance.

A written paper trail would prevent that and give the proof of who originally brought forth the suggestion. I put most of my suggestions in writing so that they can be shared with others and it cannot be twisted to some other person's purpose.

That is your opinion.

I voted down your Resolution as written because I felt then and still feel now that you wanted to single her out when others are also responsibile including yourself. If the resolution had been better written I may have supported. As to going after the Mayor now, were not going after the Mayor, but have passed a resolution condeming the former Mayor for abusing the Village's cell phone. Without the backing of the Auditor it is very difficult to pursue the matter.

It is still be resolved in the courts for Hunt and Cain. As to Russolillo and Pomeroy there is no evidence that of any wrong doing. You have never provided any specific evidence and it has not been documented by the auditors of any wrong doing by Pomeroy or Russolillo.

Again, your opinion.

Who's Blaming Who Now?

If you had talked to Watkins' former employers maybe you would have gotten more than ''my opinion'' on him. It is to bad they let it go because they care about Watkins children.

My stomach crawled too when Watkins filed to run for mayor.

I really resent you saying, knowing his history, he is a better person than I. You have a lot of nerve. You are sick. It shows your lack of respect for the people of Valleyview.

How can you say Smith is a good street commissioner when he doesn't bother coming to meetings? He is the one who wants zoning so they can tell residents what color to paint their house and enter your home if there is a complaint against you.

What was I doing ''in my best interest'' while on council?

How can suggestions be documented when the clerk ''neglects'' to put it in the minutes and refuses to give you a copy of the tape of the minutes?

It was suggested at a meeting by a fire fighter who lived in the Village to give abandoned bikes to them to repair for kids. She was told by Andy Kawk and Russolillo that it was against the O.R.C. He waited for two years and got it printed in the Messanger that HE thought it was a good idea. He lied or broke the law.

How was I responsible for what Raylene did?

If a crime is committed, the auditor does not have to approve you going to the authorities.

Of course there is proof of what Russolillo and Pomeroy did. They did not send invoices to O.P.W.C for it's 90% and the residents paid 100% of some. These were ones already paid in previous projects. They sent plans to M.O.R.P.C. as new. It was documented and I have it.

If you were threatened by Watkins and on the internet and the sheriff and AGO refused to do anything would you move if you were me? I am still working from here. It will be done!

One's Perspective

Ms. White in the Westside Messager this past weekend (5/7) former Mayor Raylene Graves was quoted from a telephone interview that you were the reason for having to use the Village cell phone. Raylene had all of her excuses ready and specifically named you as being the reason that she had to take the village cell phone out of the country.

That does not excuse former Mayor Graves from her wrong doing with the Village Cell Phone.

Things are being watched very closely for everyone. Written policies are in place because it was obvious that the Village could not trust that individuals would use good judgement and common sense to make the right choices.
