It has been a habit of the Village Authority to hire BEFORE finding if candidates are bondable.

Look what happened with Hunt and Cain.
Check what happened with the company who did Phase III of storm sewers.

Ms. White you refer to Ms. Hunt and Ms. Cain. They were in elected positions not employees. The Law clearly states that if they could not have given Bond to the Village than they would have forfeited their office. That was not the case and they were bonded.

The old habits cannot take place or continue. It is a new world and the Council is doing their job unlike in the past. The Whole Government Administration has the responsbility to do their jobs.

Along with the bonding, Council has the responsbiliity to monitor the reports and receipts of Mayor's Court and that is happening and will continue to happen.

Again, even if the person is bonded, that does not negate the responsibility of the Council to do the oversight of the finances of the Village.
