Rules and Regulations

1. The Junior Fishing Rodeo will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2006; from 10:00am until 12:30pm. The rodeo competition will be divided into two (2) age groups:
(a) 5 years to 10 years old (b) 11 years to 15 years old. 5 to 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

2. The rodeo will be held in the small lake at the south end of Lake Bennington Park, which is along the walking path at Martha Point.

3. There will be NO fishing in the small lake, by residents, guests
or anyone else, from June 6, 2006 to June 09, 2006.

4. Registration for the Junior Fishing Rodeo will begin at 9:30am,
in the area, formerly the basketball court. The fishing rodeo is scheduled to start at 10:00am and finishes at 12:30pm. Awards will be presented at 1:00pm.

5. Participants must provide their own bait and tackle for the
event. No more than 2 poles, rods, or reels per participant, will
be allowed. Parents are only allowed to help bait and remove the
fish from the hook.

6. Prizes to be awarded will be for, (a) the largest fish and (b) the largest number of fish caught, in each age group. In order to break any ties, the weight of the fish will be considered.

7. The lake will be re-stocked with fish for this event.

8. Participants enter at their own risk. Neither the rodeo,
volunteers, nor the Villages of Bennington Conservancy or it?’s staff shall be held liable for any loss, damage, negligence, harm or injury to anyone for any reason.
