I think it would be good to post some information about the current flood plain areas.  There have been changes this last year.  Any tips or useful info on this topic would be appreciated.

A great deal of our neighborhood was taken out of the type of flood plain zoning that requires separate flood insurance.  I had to go to City of Tucson Public Works to ask for the plat that showed my new flood plain status.  You many not be notified separatley. I then had to fax this to my insurance agent and mortgage company. The insurance company will likely backtrack to your last annual start date but may not reimburse back to the date on the new flood map. If you mortagage company changes hands you may need to send the documents again so keep copies!
