Two e-mail messages to Councilwoman Galanter's office have been ignored and gone unanswered. Either no one is minding the store or the staff have decided to ignore its constituency. No matter. I'll bring the topic here for discussion.
The curblane on the east side of La Tijera Bl., between Sepulveda Eastway and Bleriot Av. has turned into a place where people store their old trucks, shuttle vans, and old cars that don't work. Additionally, several motor homes have been using this location as a motor home park. Its owners use the curb and sidewalk as their own toilet, which is noticeable to any local resident with a good sense of smell that happens to be walking by.
I wrote the Councilwoman suggesting that this side of La Tijera Bl. be posted with 2-hour limit parking signs, since it's part of the downtown business district. Even if that is done, there is no guaratnee that we will get the city's parking enforcement bureau to come around and enforce it.
In any event, what are the community's opinion on the issue?
