Does anyone in the area experience the annoyance of having your car broken into? Since moving into the area in 1998, our locked car, which has been parked on the street, has been broken into 4 times. The first time the window was smashed and we've learned some valuable lessons. Never leave anything of value in the car. What bothers us is the personal intrusion of having an undesirable human being rummaging through our property in the still of the night. We feel vulnerable, despite the love we feel for our home and local community.

I am wondering if this is still a common issue. I was planning on moving to the neighborhood, but the one night we have ever had a car at the residence, it was broken into. There were no valuables visible from outside the car, and the car was locked.
