The Houston Homeowners Association's general meeting scheduled for Monday,
November 13th has been rescheduled for Monday, November 27th. This would
have been our regularly scheduled meeting date for November. The meeting
will be held at our regular location, First Presbyterian Church at 5300 Main
@ Bissonnet at 6:00 P.M. in room 210.

A Public Dialogue on Bike Lanes will be held on Tuesday, November 14th at
6:30 P.M. in the First Baptist Church Fellowship Center on the south side of
Interstate 10 just outside West Loop 610. For more directions call
713-247-2013 or go to www.hfbc.org. Notice of this meeting has already
received a great deal of circulation. A half dozen city council members are
sponsoring this meeting.

As a member of the Houston-Galveston Area Council's Subcommittee on Bicycle
and Pedestrian Issues, I can assure you that neither motorist nor bicyclist
are happy with what the City of Houston has done with the striped bike
lanes. It is encouraging to me to see that a representative from the
Houston-Galveston Area Council, Texas Department of Transportation and the
City of Houston has been invited to speak.

A word to the wise, do not travel west on Memorial Drive through the park
the hour before the meeting!!!
