West Plaza Neighborhood Association

Last Night's Meeting

Posted in: W Plaza
There was a great turnout at last night's WPNA meeting. Even the police commander said we were a very large group. It sounded like some really good things are happening here in the neighborhood. A nice new restaurant called Pizzasta has opened in Bethany Towne Center. Apparently, they have patio seating as well. I'll have to check it out! A police officer who has the beat running from I-17 to 43rd Ave, Bethany Home to Northern said our square mile is the quietest in the beat. And a new resident has offered to organize an alley cleanup!

There were complaints of teenagers' noisy cars (bass & lack of mufflers), some home break-ins, and of a proposed market/liquor/check cashing shop going in at 35th & Bethany Home. The association has written a letter of opposition to the proposed store's liquor license.

So, there you have it. Next meeting is set for Thurs., Oct. 19th at 6:00 pm, in the Catalina Ventura School Cafeteria.
