correction

Before Mark G beats me to it.. I said ''I'm to busy making a living / raising a family to pay the people who should be working on all these things''
I want to clarify that I'm to busy working so I can pay the people that are supposed to be handling the problems. I know many of you are busy people as well. Most are so busy they never have the time to post or even read anything here.

I understand.......

It seems a lot of people don't understand that the positions the board members hold is a voluntary one. It's also a role that each one of us are dedicated to. We also have jobs, raise families, and want to enjoy a safe and pleasant place to live. We are unpaid representatives who strive to ensure our community remains a safe, productive, and profitable place to live.

To maintain the highest possible property values, the homeowner's association board of directors must be vigilant in the enforcement of the CC&R's. We have all signed the agreement stating that failure to abide will result in a penalty. Setting the example for other's to follow is a way to encourage improvement, it shows a sense of pride in a neighborhood.

Unfortunately, you seem to think I have enough time on my hands to selectively take your comments personally. I don't. Although my time is normally spent at work or with my family, I feel it absolutely necessary to respond to all concerns of WPTC residents.

I look forward to seeing you at our next HOA board meeting, and would like to hear your proposal on the playground area. It's a fantastic idea, but the logistics involved are a major concern.

Regards,

Mark

another clarification....

Again, I have to say, ''if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem''. Mr. Piovanetti, I can see you're upset with certain processes, and I continue to respect your concerns.

However, to have no confidence in the elected representatives, who are doing whatever it takes to make this community productive, is disturbing. As a concerned homeowner, I invite you to our next HOA meeting to discuss your views on ways to improve our community.

Regards,

Mark
what more can i do then?

I was under the impression you would be compensated for your time. I apologize if I offended you. I truly wish I could be at the meetings it is just not possible for me and others I know in the community. I guess we won't have a voice since we can't make the time to get to a meeting. Don't take this the wrong way.. I'm sure it isn't easy being a board member but why would you do it for free and then almost complain about it as in your post. We all appreciate you working for free but don't ask the rest of us to do so as well. No one is complaining that your there to ensure our community remains a safe, productive, and profitable place to live. I work 12 hour days 6 days a week. The last thing I want to do is volunteer if I get home in time to see my family before they go to bed. I pay my fees at WP. When something isn't working I expect it to be solved one way or another. If I can't be at the HOA meeting to discuss the playground then perhaps we can discuss it here so whoever can make it to the meetings can express the community?’s interests and not just there own. I mean that sounds like a great use for this website. To inform the residents and the board members, get feedback etc.
