SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY

CLOTHE-A-CHILD

The Clothe-a-Child project is designed to provide needy children with back to school clothes and supplies. This event is funded by proceeds raised at our Dessert Dance Booth at the Strawberry Festival each June. One or two times a year, volunteers from the church and local children are paired together for a shopping spree at Wal-Mart. Lunch is provided after an exhausting morning of shopping. Parents of the children get the morning off to do errands or get some needed rest.

BLOOD DRIVES

Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church proudly sponsors two blood drives annually. They are usually held in March and October. The dates are posted in the local paper and on the calendar section of this site.

USE OF FACILITIES

Our church is happy to lend use of our facilites to some very worthy local causes. Most notably, a number of AA and NA meetings are held at the church each week. Days and times are posted on this sites calendar (coming soon!!)

The church also provides meeting space for the Christian Nursing Service and Montgomery County Division of Family and Children Adoption Fairs for Special Needs Children.
