This up coming vote as it relates to the possibility of subsidizing the swim team seems to be putting the responsibility on those who should not help pay for someone elses child to participate in a sport. If we subsidize this then when does it stop. For example if my child wants to join karate,ballet,baseball ect.and i can not afford it should our community help pay for them to participate. How about i get a lawn care service will you be willing to help me pay for it. I believe the answer most will agree is no. It is the parents responsibility to pay for their own childs needs or desires.If it is important to you find some corners to cut or find a second job. I only suggest this because this is what we have done to accomplish things over and beyond what my base salary can afford us. Have a great day and please understand i love children and think having them in sports is a great idea.
