Alexander Majors Historic House and Park

On the National Register of Historic Places

Alexander Majors organized the Pony Express and ran the largest freighting firm in the nation. He gave Buffalo Bill Cody his first job. Majors built his home in 1856. The park includes a barn, blacksmith shop, conestoga wagon, tools and displays explaining Majors' work and historic roles.

Season: Late March to mid-December

Hours are 1 to 4:30pm Saturday and Sunday. Tours are welcome. Call (816) 333-5556 for more information. Located at 83rd and State Line Road. The facilities are also available for weddings, parties and special events.
