I was reading in the paper last week about a copule that was biking through Washington park when two kids ages 14 & 16 accosted, assulted & tried to rob them..next a womens car get hijicked on 49 & Washington, sure she left the keys in her car, but she thought she was safe. I now find out that there were 16 criminal complaints around Washington Park & Highlands in the last few months.
What is going on?? Do we need to have police patrol move often & maybe on bikes again like they used to. Is it worse since they moved the police station from Vliet to North? I think so. What can we do as residents of the Heights do?? I would really hate to see my property value go down because of this much criminal attivity in my own neighborhood.
