?“Monkey Island?” a Treasure Trove ?– of Trash: On May 25th, just before Grassmere Lake was refilled for the summer, a hearty group of WPENA volunteers dressed in long pants and long sleeves and wearing safety goggles, spent two hours collecting trash on Monkey Island. Juan Marsh and Britta Herwig with Denver Parks and Recreation provided advice, goggles, buckets, trash grabbers, and a dump truck to haul away the debris, broken glass and other ?“finds?”. Tina Romero, Program Coordinator, sent a wonderful thank you letter. Thanks to everyone who participated!
