I?’m Planning a Garage Sale. Do I Need a Permit? No permit is required. Sec. 59-87(b)2.c.3 allows yard and or garage sales
subject to the following limitations:
i. Shall not exceed 72 hours of total duration;
ii. Shall not have more than one such sale in the period from
o January 1st to June 30th AND
o July 1st to December 31st;
iii. Items offered for sale shall not have been bought for resale or received on consignment for the purpose of resale; and
iv. All external evidence of the sale shall be removed immediately upon the conclusion of the sale.
