WPENA: FIFTEEN YEARS AND GOING STRONG

The Washington Park East Neighborhood Association was incorporated in 1985, fifteen years ago. Many of you and your neighbors have been involved over the years as WPENA Steering Committee Members. On May 17th, elections will be held for officers for the 2000-2001 term beginning in September. The current list of candidates appears on our website. Please come to the neighborhood meeting on Wednesday, May 17th, nominate yourself or someone else, and vote for the folks who will lead WPENA next year. Basic responsibilities of officers include attendance at the five neighborhood meetings held every other month from September through May, participation in bi-monthly Steering Committee meetings which occur in the non-meeting months, and volunteer work in the area of their position (e.g. Treasurer). We need you, your expertise, and your volunteer spirit! And a big THANK YOU!! to all those who served on the Steering Committee this year.
