Yvonne started the meeting at 7:05pm. Julia prayed.

Idella made a motion to accept the minutes from May 5, 2005 with a correction. Julia seconded the motion. We voted and accepted the minutes with correction.

Mr. Mackey hasn?’t provided the information we needed to give him a letter for a Variance. Joy Ganaishlal is back with our Neighborhood for Code and Zoning Enforcement. Yvonne attended Commissioner Rodstrom?’s Town Meeting and it was very good. She has worked on Mrs. Allen?’s problem, water backing up and flooding the home. She worked on it for over a month. On May 23, 2005 she found out it was a plumbing problem. The pipe was connected to an abandoned pipe. The Plumber said he told Israel Builders that when he disconnected the test ball that the water was running slow. The County said they are not responsible and will not replace the sidewalk. The City of Fort Lauderdale tore up the sidewalk to find the problem. The Hodge Brothers contacted Yvonne about the problem. She explained why the Council was involved and the investigation that was done. She has provided the information to the Allens to do whatever needs to be done. Ivette Spence-Brown will check on the sidewalk being repaired. Yvonne said that Susan Smith from Commissioner Rodstrom?’s office worked very hard in assisting her with the investigation.

We have agreed on the following positions for our Council, Eugene Franklin-President, Yvonne Sumlin-Vice President, Julia Porter-Secretary, Idella Wright-Public Relations and Elton Marshall-Public Relations.
