June 7, 2007

Our meeting started at 7:10pm. Yvonne gave the roll call. Idella, James and Julia present. Michelle Johnson was absent.

We read the minutes from April 5, 2007. Ross made a motion to accept the minutes as written. Idella seconded the minutes. We voted to accept the minutes.

Ted Vitale said the County is still watching the Halfway and Rooming houses. It is an on going issue.

Yvonne asked Ted when the Municipal Service Meetings are held. He said they are on the third Monday of each month at the Governmental Center. He said we could attend if we want to.

Officers for the new term will be the following:

Yvonne Sumlin President
James Ross Vice President
Idella Wright Public Relations
Michelle Johnson Public Relations
Julia Porter Secretary

We will discuss the duties of each position in our next meeting. A letter will be sent to Ted Vitale for the County records on June 8, 2007.

Yvonne will be working with our youth. She will partner with BSO, the Civic Association and the Park. She wants the programs to be on-going. The youth can also help with a Newsletter and distribution. They can earn Community Service hours.

We will work on a welcome letter and programs to assist seniors. We will discuss in more detail at our next meeting.

It our next meeting we will also discuss General Rules & Procedures and our By Laws.

Ted also brought the Neighborhood News flyer for June 2007.

Ross made a motion to adjourn at 8:15pm.
