VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

We Welcome you.....

Volunteerism is essential to the continuation of The Washington Street Community Center. WSCC is fortunate to have stable and reliable volunteers who have given many hours of faithful service. The staff supports, trains and encourages the volunteers who regularly offer their time and talent to the Center's programs and activities. In 1999 volunteer recorded hours topped 7,500. Many WSCC volunteers do not report the number of hours that they give to the Center. We "just" see the results of their labors.

Volunteers are always needed in the following areas of the Center's life:
Food preparation M.C. during senior lunches
Setting & decorating dining room tables Yard work
Coordinating education workshops Special Events
Board Members Bulk Mailings
Advisory Committee Members Musicians & artists
Accounting, Marketing & Legal Advise Cashiers
Packet stuffers Friendly Visitor Program
Respite/Renewal Program Reading to the Preschool
Refinishing furniture for children Computer experts
General building maintenance Newsletter creators
Participating in drama productions Hostess on charter trips
