Washington Village/Pigtown Neighborhood Planning Council

Hi

I am a social work student at UMB and looking for some information about the Washington Village-Pigtown neighborhood. Is there anyone on this list who would be willing to speak with me briefly? Where can I find out more information about this community, planning meetings, etc?

Hello Sherri.

I was wondering if you received any replies from your post.  Like you, I am trying to learn more about the community.  I am moving there soon (settle on a house mid April) and I would like to find out information as well.  If someone replied to you or if you have found some useful information, please pass it on.

Congratulations on closing on your house (almost)!

I have not received any responses, but I have reached out to a couple of organizations- Paul's Place (www.paulsplaceoutreach.org) as well as Habitat for Humanity.

If you are interested, I'd also be interested in getting some of your input on why you're moving to this neighborhood and what you may have heard about the community, what attempts you've made to learn about the community, etc. If you're interested, send me an email at shervishner@hotmail.com.
