Email Addresses Needed
We need everyone?’s email address to aid in the distribution of the HOA Newsletter, dates, actions, upcoming events, etc. It is important that information gets circulated to each of the homeowners. According to the US Post Office, it is not ?“lawful?” to distribute minutes, rosters, newsletters, etc., using government property. Please assist the Executive Board in getting your email addresses to April or Terry as soon as possible. Terry?’s email address is terryjessup@msu.com and April?’s is amatheson@cox.net. There is also a website for Waterfront at Oakmond. If you would like to visit this website, please contact April at 286-1609 for the address.
Progressive Dinner Results
If you missed our progressive dinner on March 15th, you missed a great time! Many of you were there and know what a success it was. If you were not able to attend, I encourage you to join us for the next one. We will advise you of the details in the near future. If you would like to serve as a host, please call April Matheson.
Let?’s Keep It Safe!
With the home construction going on, road work fast approaching and school getting out, it is important that we keep our eyes open for any suspicious or unusual activity going on. Although our HOA does not have a ?“Neighborhood Watch Program?” registered through the OKC Police Department, it?’s up to each one of us to watch out for each other. Those of you who are home during the day and see anything that might concern you, please call a member of the Executive Board or the Police Department for help.
With that being said, if the trash, dirt, mud or debris from the new construction gets to be too much for you, please call Terry at 755-0398 and he will contact the homebuilder to ask for their assistance in curtailing this. We?’re hoping the Greer?’s will begin building soon on the last empty lot at the north end so all property lots will finally be occupied.
The Pool Is Open J
The pool committee has opened the pool ?– however, we need to allow time to balance the pool chemistry. We should expect to be able to use it by May 10th. Feel free to use the pool area for sunning, playing and partying ?– just not swimming yet. Our Social Committee is planning a pool party for June 7th to begin at approximately 5:00 p.m. This will include hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill, side dishes and beverages. April Matheson will be updating us on this in the near future.
Reminder?…?…..
HOA members who have elected to pay one half of their annual dues in February and the remainder later, REMEMBER, they are due no later than August 31st. Please make your payment to Kyle Frans. As you know, our dues are very important to us and pay for the upkeep of the common areas as well as the water and electricity bills.
The Landscape Committee has been busy cleaning up the flowerbeds at the entrance to our neighborhood, within the common areas and within the confines of the swimming pool. The Lake Committee has been busy cleaning up the edges of the lake. If you have shrubs or flowers that you would
like to donate, please coordinate this with Sonja Capucille at 748-4441.
With the new lawn-mowing season upon us, we have renewed the lawn maintenance for the HOA with RICH LAWNS. They are the same company that had the contract for the last three years. However, there have been complaints and we?’re asking you to watch and report anything that is not mowed or is not taken care of as agreed to in the contract.
Next Scheduled HOA Meeting
The next Executive Board meeting is scheduled for 4:00 pm on Sunday, June 22nd at Terry and Pamela Jessup?’s house (14512). We encourage all members to attend if possible.
More Gate News
The gate operation is going well! Mike Klehm continues to do a great job and has kept it operating for over two months without any trouble (A new record!) If outsiders call you and they don?’t have a code or a gate opening device, refuse to admit them if you do not know them and notify Mike at 749-1629.
