When: Saturday - April 17th, 2010 10:00am-2:00pm Where: Meet at the Substation @ 9:00am for sign in.
The Annual Great American Cleanup has become a tradition in the neighborhood. Sponsored by The W.E. C.A.R.E. Committee and the PBSO Community Police Officers, we have transformed the medians at the entrance of the Community from weeds and debris into a neat & welcoming "front door". This year, as in the past, we will be concentrating on the medians as well as picking up garbage and debris along Sandalfoot Blvd. We will also be working around the Substation, brightening up the area with flowers and plants as this is the main meeting area for the Community. Depending on the turnout, we may be able to tackle some of the vacant/abandoned homes, tidying up their front yards.
It is a really great sense of accomplishment to stand back and say... "I did that."
Lunch is provided to all volunteers and W.E. C.A.R.E. will have a raffle for a free "Family Meal Deal" to be used at the
next Free "Movie in the Park".
The GAC is always a fun time. Adults and Kids are welcome to participate, children under 10 should be accompanied by an adult. Everyone must sign in at the event and all minors must be signed in by a parent or guardian. Please remember to dress comfortably in work clothes, hats are recommended and if you have gloves bring them along (we have some you can borrow). Remember a bottle of water and some sunscreen.
We are able to provide Community Service/Volunteer hours to anyone who may require them. If you would like to participate, please give us a call and leave a message so that we can plan lunch accordingly. If you have any further questions, please feel free to call. 561.483.7236
