Wedgwood Neighborhood Assoc.

Alright Wedgewood I am worried our vehicles have been vandalized 3 times in the last 6 months, two of the break ins were with in the last week. We have put up security cameras and we live two blocks from the police station. We are at a loss and don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

We need to increase volunteers for the citizen patrol and start reporting suspicious vehicles to the non emergency police line. I have been seeing a lot of kids drinking and smoking at the park and people hanging out in their cars late at night around the park. These are the people we need to keep an eye on. 

This is a safe neighborhood, you would be hard pressed to find one safer within the price ranges. There is a mix of older couples and retirees and young families. In my neighborhood alot of the retirees I know, keep a good eye on the neighborhood. With the gas drilling a couple of crummy apartment complexes were shut down but I dont think alot of problems came from there. We have neighborhood patrols that are volunteers and a very close police station. I wouldn't worry though, this post was due to a break in to a neighbors car and its been about a year or two since something like that happened on our block. That occurs in all neighborhoods with cars parked in the driveway and poor lighting around the car or no alarm on the car.
