Annual Meeting 12/8/08 Peachtree Presbyterian Church
Present: President Nancy Wells, Vice-Presidents Harriet Pippin and Andy Haas, Treasurer Richard Siegel, Secretary Betty Seely, Manager Arlene Sinanian, eight residents and 15 proxy statements.
Richard Siegel presided and declared a quorum. A motion was made and seconded to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the 2007 Annual Meeting.
Property Manager Arlene Sinanian reviewed the year?’s work:
1. There were several costly plumbing repairs: Sewer lines from Building N had two problems, and a drainage from the pool caused serious weakening of the foundation wall in building J. All were corrected with considerable diligence, time, and money.
2. The mailbox roof, including lights, was completed.
3. Parking permits were issued to cars of residents. (Unstickered cars should park parallel on the exit drive.)
4. Georgia Power installed electronically read meters that had to be corrected.
5. Damaged roof shingles were replaced.
6. There was foundation shrubbery replacement (more to come).
7. First class laundry equipment was installed in G basement. We were fortunate that Arlene found a company who would install this commercial-quality equipment. If we do not generate enough income for the company, they will withdraw it. There is one top-loader and one front-loader (uses less water and soap). The large gas dryers are particularly efficient. Please use this excellent equipment.
MISCELLANEOUS
There was a request for repair of a porch support post on building D, which will be addressed.
Cars parked illegally on the entrance drive receive almost irremovable violation stickers. The number of times will be noted in order to invoke a fine after the third offense, as stated in the rules. Cars with no permit stickers on the back window should be parked parallel on the exit drive. All residents should inform their visitors.
Election of Board members resulted in renewing the terms of Harriet Pippin, Betty Seely and Nancy Wells.
Next Board meeting: Monday, January 12, 2009 in M-4
