Dear Westhaven Commons Homeowners,
There are numerous complaints about the current ice problem in our community. Homeowners, Please use extreme caution and common sense if you must go out. The current ice storm and subsequent problems it has caused is beyound the control of the Boad of Directors and Omni. Our current snow contract is for plowing to start at 4 imches of snow. We do realize some homeowners do have 4 or more inches of ice in their driveways. That is nearly impossible to plow. We have been
informed that these are EXTREME CONDITIONS. Many snow plow vendors are out of salt and ice melt. Also, please be aware that salt and ice melt do not work in the low tempertures that are prdicted for tonight. The only way to possibly eradicate PART of this problem is to lay down salt, plow, re salt, re plow, etc. The HOA does not have the funds to even begin to attemp this. There are way to many homeowners that are delinquent in their HOA dues, therefore all funds available are currently necesary to pay our normal monthly bills. Any homeowner is welcome to hire, at their own expense,
someone to clear their own driveway. Once all of this has melted away, it will be assessed to see if there is damage to siding and gutters throughout the entire comunity. If there is, it will be handed over to our HOA insurance compnay for possible resolution.
