After seeing the article in Wednesday's paper (8/4) about Hamilton Acres and Shannon Park traffic control projects, I am inspired to ask, "What would it take to have speed restrictive devices installed in our (Westgate/Taku) neighborhood?"
I live on Ivy Dr. where vehicle traffic - cars, trucks, motorcycles, busses, delivery trucks and heavy equipment - constantly, as in all hours of the day and night, travel at speeds well above the posted 20 MPH for residential neighborhoods.
The noise and danger levels are only continuing to increase with an accident just waiting to happen.
Before that tragedy occurs, what can be done to remedy the situation?
