Valley View Corridor Study
I and several of our core group was at the RTC's- Valley View Corridor Study at Springs Preserve last night (March 26, 2008). Valley View south of DI to Harmon will have work starting in about 3mos+ to reconstruct it and widen it to 6 lanes as it is already 100 feet wide. Valley View between DI and Pennwood could also go this way but it is not currently scheduled since there is not 100 feet of paved road. What happens North of Pennwood to Hwy 95 is still being reviewed. The possibilities are to have the center lane dedicated for southbound traffic in the morning and northbound in the evening. Making Valley View one-way and Arville the other-way. The problem with Valley View is the County owns to about Pennwood and South and has designated it a major arterial. City owns it North of Pennwood and are unsure of its designation. The next public hearing won't be for another 6 - 9 months.
