Thank you for your response. I understand that CVELG says this is no longer about the jail. Yet, CVELG's members, in asking people to sign the repeal petition, have reportedly said if Broomfield no longer has county status, Broomfield will not build the jail - instead, a shopping center will be built on the jail site. CVELG's members have been quoted as saying that one of the reasons for CVELG's repeal efforts is the "unethical" way Broomfield made its jail decision. And, some time ago, Chris was quoted as saying the Broomfield jail will never open its doors. Granted, Chris clarified that her statement was made before the CVELG's current efforts. But, the statement was made. The statements of CVELG's own members show that CVELG has not disassociated itself from the jail matter.
Whether you are successful in your repeal effort is entirely up to you. I hope you are not. I do believe CVELG is doing this for petty reasons. Nothing personal, but I will fight against your repeal efforts because, in my opinion, you are acting contrary to the will of Broomfield voters. The arguments you are using are the tired arguments that the "vote no" group used in 1998. They were proven wrong and lost.

Three or four people from Broomfield hoodwinked the entire state senate and the entire house of representatives? Wow! Broomfield's name at the state capitol is "slime?" Don't think so. I just read in the newspapers that our Governor has appointed a prestigious task force to assist Broomfield in its transition to city/county status.

First, BBW, if this issue were over a jail; there would be little reason to continue this effort. George DiCero is on record stating that the jail will be leased to other counties when this repeal effort is successful.

Second: Several days ago; you posted that you have at least twenty reasons why CVLEG will fail. Where is your post with the twenty reasons? So far you are the only person promoting the jail as an issue; personally, I find this extremely boring and not worthy of response. Do you have twenty reasons; with references as back up material; such as been provided to you? The first BBW had this; you, whomever you are; appear to be very uninformed beyond a 62% vote.

I would like to point out the following: new members from BF have joined this board; all of whom appear to be in support of CVLEG. On several occasions I have asked you why you have not encouraged those on your side to participate; with the "overwhelming 62% support that you claim is STILL present"; why are your supporters not burning up the keyboards?
Third: The issue about the Governor appointing a task force to oversee Broomfield is an extremely old article. This can be interrupted to mean that even the governor lacks confidence in Broomfield to achieve this on their own; their expertise is limited. Since this has not happened in Colorado since 1904; I doubt there is experienced leadership available; and since the governor still thinks he lives in Texas; I question his ability to lead; perhaps the governments of Colorado will all go to night class with BF council to learn how to develop a county government. This indeed will be interesting; as taxes will still be allocated in four counties due to the lack of a single school district.
Fourth: As long as you are into old news; defend Bill Berens irrational reponse in the papers after the jail vote where he "be-rated the jail critics"; and threatened to move the jail near 108th and Simms if they didn't be quiet. Also, defend Council member Hank Stovall threatening "consequences" if CVLEG continued in their efforts. Finally, defend the library survellance team when someone went there looking for information on joining the county. Yeah, BBW, this is all in my files; and, when I decide to go public; I will give this to CVLEG; assuming they do not these instances on file already. Perhaps ACLU will be interested in filing charges; they are also watching the "silencing tactics" of BF; they have been contacted.

Come on Mr.BBW, give us the twenty points. Do not include the jail; this is your issue; do not include the 62%; we have heard this from you in almost every post; give us something original. If not; please, go do your own homework.
