Repeal Broomfield County

What is really amazing is that BF leaders must believe that if they intimidate; that all of us will return to our homes and never say a word.

What BF should be concerned about: the number of residents and non-residents who are simply saying: "I'm not going to take it anymore." Yeah, we are underground; but someday, it will blow up in their face; and they will wonder what happened.

The actions of BF affects all of their immediate neighboring communites; and those who are not so distant. It is terrible to be in public and state that you are from BF; immediately, there is a negative reaction about the uncontrolled growth; the stupidity of NWP, the back door method of the election for the county; the pity for all the residents of BF who will have tremendous bills to pay because Interlocken bought this town. In today's paper is a story about BF bidding against Superior for the expansion of Level 3. How much will this cost BF residents in incentives and loss of open space? Believe me; I don't think the city cares.

Another "anonymous chicken" clucks ignorance. Poor Superior. Hogwash. Rock Creek is exactly what urban sprawl is all about. It never should have happened. All the yuppies who purchased homes there will have some cold realizations in the near future. It was a terrible thing the Rock Creek developers did - sell all those homes with vitually no water supply.
Read Sullivant's bill. It reads like a blank check for home builders. If you think this guy has any idea of what responsible growth is all about, you are sadly mistaken.

You are underground alright. That's where you and your uncontrolled paranoia belong. Stay in the dark. It suits you well. That way you will never have to confront the light of wisdom and reality. If you are embarassed to say you are from Broomfield, you can always say your real home is either Country Side or
Superior - two outstanding residential developments that, of course, have nothing to do with urban sprawl. See what people will say?

Great definition of the City of Broomfield. As pointed out in the Enterprise story; they cannot even honor their basic decisions on their managed growth cap; supposedly 300 homes a year; but then they approve 464 above the vested properties which include an additional 3000-4000 units. This number is directly from the city; so it is hard to argue.
What is more discouraging is that agreements with Interlocken and IGA they have signed guarantee even more growth; which they firmly acknowledge will be unpopular.
Of course, they are now trying to be the good guys; asking for our involvement. The only thing they are asking for involvment in is the formation of the county requirements; not the major decisions affecting growth, open space, transportation, economic development, or simple sense of community projects such as the library and arts center.
Have you ever looked at the number of council persons who were appointed to complete a term; amazing how many were never elected by the people.
