The Phoenix Pride Commission is proud to present the favorite Points of Pride in Phoenix selected by more than 10,000 Valley residents. The Points of Pride locations are places you'd be proud to tell your friends and visitors not to miss when they're in town. Or you may want to take your family on an outing to enjoy Phoenix's most popular landmarks (many of which are located very close to Willo).
The Points of Pride consist of parks, cultural facilities, historic residences, and mountain peaks. All these unique locations are found within the Phoenix city limits and contribute to the quality of life in the Valley.
The Phoenix Pride Commission was created in August 1991 to foster a sense of community pride among Valley residents. The commission has presented four positive, unique programs since its inception including successful Sunday on Central events, a testimonial advertising campaign, Kids Pride in Phoenix awards program, and the Valleywide Points of Pride competition. Whether you have visitors in town or are looking for something to do on your day off, the Phoenix metro area is packed with sightseeing options. The Arizona Republic has compiled photographs and video on sites throughout the Valley that are perfect for an outing with family, friends, or by yourself. Some are familiar landmarks while others may be a surprise even to the Phoenix native. From museums and parks to a few locations just worth seeing, Republic staff thinks these spots truly capture the character of the area.
