One of the reasons I heard that Encanto station was not going to be built for light rail was the lack of parking. Who would be parking at the Encanto station? Folks going further than to the downtown area I would guess, say the airport, or Tempe.
There seems to be potentially enough people within a five block walking area to support and warrant a stop even without parking.
