POOL RULES AND REGULATIONS

The Willow Point pool may be used only by Willow Point Homeowners Association members and their guests.
· Pool hours are 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. daily. Swimming when the pool is closed is prohibited.
· When a lifeguard is not on duty, all swimmers are swimming at their own risk.
· Persons under the age of 16 years who are using the pool must be accompanied by an adult in attendance.
· When a lifeguard is on duty, the minimum age for swimming without a parent present is 10 years.
· When a lifeguard is on duty, swimmers between the ages of 10 years old and 15 years old may use the pool with a signed parent consent form that will be available at the pool. The form will be kept on file.
· Solo bathing is not permitted at any time; swimmers must use the "buddy system".
· Pool gate is to remain locked at all times. Lock the gate after entering the pool area.
· All swimmers must shower before entering the pool.
· Swim diapers or swim pants are required for all children not toilet trained
· No smoking inside the pool enclosure.
· No food, glass, metal or hard plastic items allowed in pool enclosure.
· No pets in pool area.
· Appropriate swim attire is required to swim. No cut-off shorts or non-swim attire permitted.
· No running, splashing, shoving, or dunking allowed.
· No profanity, improper behavior, intoxication, or vulgar remarks allowed.
· Bicycles, skates, and skateboards are not permitted in the pool or tennis areas.
· No sitting or hanging on lifelines, buoys, pool ladders or rails.
· Persons with open sores or rashes are not permitted in the water.
· Floats are permitted only when a lifeguard is present and are subject to the approval of the lifeguard. Inflatable devices are not considered lifesaving devices and require strict supervision.
· No spitting or spouting water.
· No chewing gum while swimming or in the water.
· Lifeguards are not baby sitters; their primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of swimmers. Behavior in accordance with outlined Recreation Rules and Regulations will be strictly enforced.

Guest Policy:

· All guests must be accompanied by a WPHA member.
· Willow Point residents who are not members of the WPHA cannot be guests.
· A member having more than 3 guests needs permission of Recreation Chairperson or President.

Pool Use During Inclement Weather:

The decision to temporarily close the pool during inclement weather shall be at the discretion of the lifeguard or an adult recreation subscriber. The pool will be reopened if the weather does not affect the safety of those using the pool facility. Lightning or thunder shall cause the pool to remain closed for a minimum of 15 minutes after the last such incident.

The Willow Point pool chemicals are maintained in balance according to standards established by the Cobb County Health Department.


If anyone is injured in the pool area, the lifeguard or an adult member must be notified. First aid supplies are provided in the pumphouse.
