CRIME REPORT; 07-28-2010
Good morning! On Tuesday at about 4:15pm, Officers with the Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant at a location in far south Abilene regarding investigation of Possession Child Pornography. 27 year old w/m was arrested and charged with Possession of Child Pornography
At 10:30pm, Officer Antilley responded to a call of a person attempting to break into a car near Ave D and EN 22nd. Officer Antilley contacted a 24 year old w/m in the area. The man initially lied about his name and identifying information. The man’s true identity was ultimately verified and it was found that he had a warrant for Delivery of Amphetamine. The man was arrested and charged with the warrant, and Failure to Identify while wanted.
Finally, at about 11:05pm, Officer Ruiz received a call of a theft at a convenience store in the 800 block of Grape. During the course of this investigation, a 36 year old white male was contacted and found to have an outstanding warrant for escape. He was arrested and taken to the Taylor County Jail.
