CRIME REPORT; 07-29-10
Good morning!
In the past 24 hours, officers of the Abilene Police Department have responded to many calls for service, including multiple reports of criminal mischief, Assault Family Violence, and burglaries. Here are a few examples:
At about 2:30am yesterday morning, Officer Ruiz responded to an assault call in the 3700 block of Laurel. Investigation revealed that a 31 year old female and her 14 year old son sustained minor injuries during the course of an assault. The husband, a 46 year old man was arrested for Assault/Family Violence and transported to county jail.
Yesterday, just after noon, Detective Ramirez observed a man get on to a bus near Yeoman’s Rd and S. Judge Ely Blvd. Detective Ramirez had knowledge that this man was wanted on a warrant charging him with Burglary of a Habitation, and detained him at that location. This man, a 19 year old black male was arrested on the warrant and transported to county jail.
At about 1:35pm, Officer Gabe Thompson was dispatched to an assault call on Crossroads Dr. Investigation revealed that a 25 year old Hispanic female had bitten her husband on his arm during an argument the two had been involved in. She was arrested and charged with Assault/Family Violence.
