CRIME REPORT; 11-01-10

    Good morning!!!!!  Here are a few examples of incidents from the weekend.   Officer Woods stopped a vehicle in the 3200 block of South 6th.  The driver, a 24 year old female, had an outstanding warrant for Forgery and was arrested.   Officer Brown responded to a prowler call in the 900 block of Graham.  When he arrived on scene, Officer Brown discovered a 38 year old male who was on the roof of a residence.  The male did not live at the residence and was very intoxicated.  The subject was arrested for Public Intoxication.   Finally, Officer Allen responded to a drunk driver call in the 1600 block of East Overland Trail.  Officer Allen contacted the involved vehicle and driver, who was a 45 year old male.  The driver was very intoxicated and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (With An Open Container).  This incident is the 537th DWI in Abilene since January 1st.   For the Abilene Police Department, this is Sgt Keith Shackleford.

CRIME REPORT; 11-02-10

      Good morning!!!!!  Here are a few examples of recent calls.   Officer Guitar responded to a theft call in the 3600 block of Catclaw.  Officer Guitar contacted a 21 year old male who had taken approximately $10 worth of items without paying for them.  The subject also had an outstanding felony theft warrant and was arrested for both offenses.   Officer Valdez stopped a vehicle in the 2100 block of Pine.  The driver, a 35 year old male, was intoxicated and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (with an open container).    Officer Merrick stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of Grape.  The driver, a 25 year old male, was intoxicated and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (with an open container).  This incident is the 539th DWI in Abilene since January 1st.   Remember to vote today.   For the Abilene Police Department, this is Sgt Keith Shackleford.

CRIME REPORT; 11-03-10

  Good morning!!!!  Here are a few examples of overnight incidents.   Officer Montgomery responded to a residential burglary call in the 1500 block of North Willis.  The victim stated an unknown suspect had forced open a back door, causing approximately $500 damage to the residence.  A report was worked for Burglary of a Habitation.   Officer Holmes responded to a residential burglary call in the 3700 block of Janice Lane.  The victim stated an unknown suspect had pried open a back door and had taken a washer and dryer from inside the residence.  The victim's loss was estimated at $550.   Agents of the Special Operations Division executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1400 block of Mesquite.  During the investigation, a 36 year old male and a 27 year old male were arrested for first degree felony Delivery of a Controlled Substance (in a drug free zone).   For the Abilene Police Department, this is Sgt Keith Shackleford.

CRIME REPORT; 11-04-10

    Good morning!!!!!!  Here are a few examples of overnight incidents.   Agents of the Special Operations Division conducted a search warrant at a residence in the 1700 block of Jeannette.  The agents contacted a 32 year old male who had an outstanding parole violation warrant and an outstanding Driving While License Invalid warrant.  The subject was arrested for both offenses.   Officer Poyner stopped a vehicle in the 2300 block of Simmons.  As Officer Poyner spoke with the driver, he could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.  During the subsequent investigation, the 20 year old male driver was found to be in possession of approximately three grams of marijuana and was arrested.   For the Abilene Police Department, this is Sgt Keith Shackleford.
