CRIME REPORT; 04-14-11

Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…..

 

At about 4:15 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Bryan stopped a vehicle in the 2200 block of Graham for an expired registration.  The driver, a 31 year old male, was contacted and found to have prior contacts for illegal narcotics.  A K-9 was called to the scene and alerted on the vehicle.  A search of the driver revealed a useable amount of marijuana.  He was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana.

 

At about 5:05 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Herd responded to a shoplifting call at a south side establishment.  A 19 year old male was being detained for taking items from the store without paying.  The male subject did consent to a search that revealed he was in possession of stolen property worth approximately $10.00.  He was arrested and charged with Theft and Removal of Writing.

 

Finally at about 6:05 P.M. last night, Officer Tollison responded to a disturbance call in the 1300 block of Mesquite.  Upon arrival a 45 year old male was found walking in the street and was intoxicated.  He had been verbally abusive to his mother and was causing a disturbance.  He was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

CRIME REPORT; 04-15-11

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

At about 4:50 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Couch responded to a call of a disturbance in the 1300 block of Chestnut.  Upon arrival, it was learned that a 51 year old male had assaulted his girlfriend.   After further investigation, it was also found that there was a protective order against the male subject.  He was arrested for Continuous Assault Family Violence, Violation of a Protective Order and two warrants.

 

At about 10:00 P.M. last night, Officer Martinez responded to an accident at Hwy 83/84 and Loop 322.  Upon arrival, the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident was extremely intoxicated.  The 46 year old male refused to perform the field sobriety tests and was uncooperative with officers.  He was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

 

Finally at about 12:55 A.M. this morning, Officer Davis stopped a vehicle in the 800 block of Glenhaven.  The driver, a 22 year old male, appeared to be intoxicated.  He did perform the field sobriety tests and failed.  He was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

CRIME REPORT; 04-18-11

 

 

 Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered over the weekend…

 

At about 4:30 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Becker responded to a call of Criminal Trespass at a south side establishment.  Upon arrival, a 19 year old male was being detained by store security.  It was found that he had been previously warned of criminal trespass.  He was arrested and transported to the Taylor County Jail.

 

At about 10:25 P.M. last night, Officer Joeris responded to a call in the 3500 block of South 1st.  Upon arrival, a 28 year old female was found to be intoxicated and a danger to herself.  She was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

 

Finally at about 12:05 A.M. this morning, Officer Valdez stopped a vehicle in the 800 block of E. Hwy 80 for failing to signal a turn.  Upon contacting the driver, a 39 year old male, he appeared to be intoxicated.  He did perform the field sobriety tests and failed.  He was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

CRIME REPORT; 04-19-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

At about 2:30 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Montgomery responded to a disturbance call in the 400 block of North Jefferson.  Upon arrival it was found that a 21 year old female and her boyfriend had been fighting.  The boyfriend was hiding in the apartment when officers arrived.  Officer Montgomery found the subject hiding in the house and began to try and detain him.  The subject began fighting the officer and the officer pulled his taser.  When this happened the female grabbed the taser and tried to take it from the officer.  The female was ultimately arrested and charged with Attempting to Take a Weapon from a Peace Officer.

 

At about 12:25 A.M. this morning, Officer Hall stopped a vehicle in the 2600 block of South 20th for a traffic violation.  Upon contacting the occupants, the passenger gave a name that could not be confirmed.  When the officers ran the driver, they received a return for a protective order and the name of the subject who was restricted from communicating with the driver.  After further investigation it was found that the passenger, a 50 year old male, was in violation of a protective order and had given false information.  He was arrested and charged with Violation of a Protective Order and Fail to I.D.

 

Finally at about 2:50 A.M. this morning, Officer Hutchinson stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 4100 block of North 1st.  The driver, a 21 year old male, appeared to be intoxicated and admitted to drinking alcohol.  He did perform the field sobriety tests and failed.  He also provided a breath sample that was over the legal limit.  He was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
