CRIME REPORT; 9-12-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

This morning at 5:15 AM Officer Gabe Thompson was dispatched to a traffic accident where a vehicle struck a parked car.  The driver fled the scene and was located at his residence a half block away.  The driver was identified by witnesses at the scene and was found to have five outstanding traffic warrants.  This male driver was placed under arrest for the warrants.  The traffic accident is still under investigation.

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

Last night at 8:40 PM Officer Jimmy Woods and Sgt Jason Haak were dispatched to reported armed subject call where a man was reportedly waving a handgun in the 1800 block of S 3rd.  Sgt Haak contacted a male subject who had been in a verbal confrontation with another man.  A handgun fell out of this man’s shorts while Sgt Haak was talking to him.  This man was placed under arrest for Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon.  Officer Woods contacted a second male subject at the scene who was yelling and screaming and causing a breach of the peace.  Officer Woods placed this man under arrest for Disorderly Conduct.  During a search incident to arrest approximately 8g of cocaine was found in his pocket.  This man was also charged with Delivery of Cocaine.

 

Last night at 11:20 PM Officer Andrew Valdez stopped a car in the 1700 block of Henson for driving on the wrong side of the road.  The driver appeared intoxicated and failed the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.  This male driver was transported to the Taylor County Jail and charged with DWI.

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

Last night at 11:15 PM Officer Gabe Thompson stopped a vehicle in the 1800 block of S 5th for a traffic violation.   The male driver had a suspended drivers license and was placed under arrest.  During a search incidental to that arrest a small baggie was located in his pocket that tested positive for meth amphetamine.  He was charged with Driving with License Invalid and Possession of a Controlled Substance. 

 

This morning at 1:00 AM Officer Brandon Scott stopped a vehicle at S Clack and Edgemont for a traffic offense.  The male driver appeared intoxicated and failed the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.  He was placed under arrest for DWI and transported to the Taylor County Jail where he provided a breath sample.  The results were 0.169 and 0.180.  The legal limit is 0.08. 

 

And finally at 1:13 AM Officer Shawn Montgomery was dispatched to a single car accident in the 2900 block of Winters Freeway.  A vehicle there had struck a light pole.  Officer Montgomery contacted a female driver who appeared intoxicated.  She failed the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and was placed under arrest for DWI.  She was transported to the Taylor County Jail where she provided a breath sample.  The results were 0.128 and 0.121.

CRIME REPORT; 9-15-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

Yesterday at 5:15 PM Sgt Jason Haak stopped a vehicle that had been reported stolen in the 5300 block of N 9th.  The driver was a juvenile and he was taken into custody for Theft of the a Motor Vehicle.  The passenger was also a juvenile and taken into custody as well.  The passenger was in possession of a small amount of marijuana and less than 1g of cocaine.  He was charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Cocaine, and Possession of Marijuana. 

 

At 12:45 this morning Officer Matt Allen stopped a vehicle in the 900 block of Cottonwood for a traffic offense.  The male driver appeared intoxicated and failed the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Taylor County Jail and charged with DWI. 

 

And finally at 2:20 AM Officer Paul Martinez was dispatched to a call of an intoxicated person in the 2100 block of Merchant.  Officer Martinez attempted to contact a male subject who ran from him.  A K-9 was called and located the man under a trailer.  He was arrested for Evading Detention and Public Intoxication.  He was also found to have an outstanding traffic warrant.
