LOCATION: ? Baldwin Park area
INFORMATION:? There have been several vehicles burglaries reported in the Baldwin Park area.? The majority of the vehicle burglaries occurred during overnight/early morning hours (8pm-8am). The items that are being targeted include any and all valuables. To assure that you or your neighbors are not the next victims, please adhere to the following:
-? Be alert to your surroundings
-? Secure all vehicle doors and
windows
-? Use reliable anti-theft devices (i.e. car alarm, The ?Club?,
etc.)
-? Remove valuables from inside the vehicle (wallets, cell phones,
CD's, identification, stereo faceplates, etc.)
-? Activate the car alarm,
if your vehicle has one
-? Report any suspicious activity or
person(s)
-? Check the area where you will be walking for suspicious

The majority of the vehicle burglaries or stolen occurred during 7:30 a.m. ? 10:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. ? 6:30 p.m. The items that are being targeted include any and all valuables. Recently, there have been reports of commercial burglaries in the First Alliance Church area. The majority of the commercial burglaries occurred during the nighttime hours. To help reduce the chances that your business will be burglarized, please adhere to the following:
-? Make sure your business has proper lighting
-? Ensure that all
alarms or monitoring equipment are being used
-? Secure all doors and
windows before you leave for the day
-? Check the area where you will be
walking for suspicious persons or cars

INFORMATION:? Recently there have been reports of residential burglaries in the Englewood Park area. The majority of the residential burglaries occurred between 8 am ? 6:30 pm. Primary days are Tuesday thru Thursday. The items that are being targeted include any and all valuables. You can reduce your risk of becoming a victim by doing the following:
-? Utilize your neighborhood watch phone chain.
-? Secure all
doors and windows, even if you are only going to be gone for a few minutes.
-? Activate a residential alarm system, if your home has
one.
-? Keep valuables in a secure location within the
home.
-? Report any suspicious activity or person(s).? You, the
resident, know what activity is normal for your area.? Call 911 when
someone is acting suspicious.
-? Be alert to your surroundings and get to
know your neighbors.
-? Write down serial numbers of important
property.
-? Utilize exterior lighting.? (It only costs
approximately $1.00 per month to keep a porch light on all
night!)
-? Participate in Citizens for Neighborhood Watch
program.
-? While away from your home for vacation or other reasons,
forward your telephone to a family member, have a neighbor collect your mail,
put the garbage curbside, and retrieve any newspapers/solicitations from your
property.
