Schedule of Lawn Care Services for Windward Pointe:

Round One - Early Spring
Pre and Post emergent herbicides to control weeds along with fertilizer to promote root growth. Lawn is mowed weekly

Round Two - Late Spring
This application will consist of a high nitrogen fertilizer to promote spring green up along with a second pre and post emergent herbicide. Lawn is mowed weekly.

Round Three - Early Summer
Time released fertilizer is applied to promote green color along with broadleaf weed control as needed. This is also a good time for core aeration. Lawn is mowed weekly.

Round Four - Mid Summer
Time released fertilizer is applied to maintain color, broadleaf weed control applied as needed. Lawn is mowed weekly.

Round Five - Fall
Late summer application will consist of a time release fertilizer that will help the turf remain healthy and green during the summer heat. Lawn is mowed as needed. Leaves are removed weekly from common lawn areas.

Round Six - Late Fall
Preemergent and broadleaf weed control is applied for control of weeds during winter months. Fertilizer is also applied to promote root growth. Lime is applied to maintain proper pH which assures efficient Crabapple fertilizers.
Lawn is mowed as needed. Leaves are removed weekly from common lawn areas.

Round Seven - Winter
Lime is applied during the winter months to ensure your lawn uses Crabapple fertilizers efficently. Lawn is mowed as needed. Leaves are removed weekly from common lawn areas.


AERATION - Early Spring
The Core of the Matter
Aeration removes thousands of soil cores from your lawn and deposits them above the thatch layer. The cores are about a half inch in diameter and 2" to 3" long. Thats it. It sounds simple, but as soon as aeration is completed, a lot of good things begin to happen to your lawn - and continue for months after the service is performed. The first immediate benefit is the creation of tiny pockets in your lawn to catch and hold air, water and fertilizer. This is esecially important in heavy soils that tend to be compacted and shed water rather than absorbing it. The next thing that you'll notice is that the soil cores begin to dissolve during rainfall and irrigation. This soil is mixing with the thatch layer and helping it decompose, preventing a thick solid blanket of thatch over the lawn. Then, because the holes are catching water and fertilizer, the grass roots begin to grow towards them, getting fuller and thicker on the way. And since there is extra space, the compacted soil of your lawn begins to loosen, and that means more oxygen reaches the roots and they can grow deeper with out hitting hard soil.

Round One - Early Spring
The first application will be a spray consisting of dormant oil. This application is designed to help control overwhelming insect and spider eggs as well as immature adults. Trees and Scrubs trimmed as needed.

Round Two - Spring
A balanced fertilizer is applied to the root zone of the trees and shrubs to promote flowering and to build a more healthy plant. Trees and Scrubs trimmed as needed.


Round Three - Early Summer
Insect and disease control is applied at this time to protect from problems that might occur due to humidity and high temps. Trees and Scrubs trimmed as needed.


Round Four - Summer
Most diseases are not active at this time but spider mites are at their adult stage. We will again be spraying insecticides to keep these insects under control. Trees and Scrubs trimmed as needed.


Round Five - Fall
Fall fertilization is needed at this time. We will apply a fertilizer to the root zone of the plant material in order to promote and fuel initial spring growth. Trees and Scrubs trimmed as needed.
