Board Meeting

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 by Gary Pollard (president)

Summary:

Gary opened the board meeting with the Mantua School zoning situation. A letter addressed to the Fairfax County School Board (Heastie) written by representatives in the neighborhood was passed around for reference. We will continue to monitor the situation as needed.

Traffic calming measures proposed by the Traffic Calming Committee were passed but were met by opposition on the speed table to be installed on Shelley Lane. Will Gildner headed up this effort and will attempt to modify it if the county allows. Janet will pick up where Will leaves off when he is transferred in the summer if measures have not taken place by then.

Membership stands at 117 with updates given to the block captains via mail. Requests to follow up on the membership drive were attached.

A meeting “Home” was discussed and several options with the local churches will be pursued in the following months to meet our next meeting needs.

April 10th is the next scheduled general meeting. Changes are forthcoming as usual.
