Parking Issues

Posted in: Layton Blvd West
I have lived the layton blvd. neighborhood for almost ten years. Over the past years, we have seen a lot of people moving in to the neighborhood. I do not have any problem with that but some of the other neighbor do. I do find that attitude very extreme.

''They'' were already residing here when we moved in. I thought we were going to get along but I was wrong. It seem that my ''neighbor'' doesn't like us. Is it because we have different skintone? I don't know but one thing I do know is that they seem to have a problem with the parking issue. I guess just because they lived before us, it give the right to own the whole block. It also seem like we can't park in front of their house too. Why do said what I said? Well, for one thing, during last summer, one of their family member have to go somewhere and order to save the parking area, the son and mother put out the lawn chair and sat in the side street parking until the family member return. I look at that as being to extreme. Another thing is this ''neighbor'' will parked extremely close to my and/or my parents car so we couldn't move out. I do admit that parking is a big issue but I think that the neighbor is try to get under my skin.

I do have the right to park anywhere I would to. I paid the parking permit out of my pocket. I paid taxes. The side street is not a personal, assigned parking area. It's first come, first serve basic. I have think about talking to them but they won't listen. They complaint to the parking checker about how the other neighbor parked their automobiles too! I just wish we could just live peacefully. We have enough turmoil already.

Any responses will be greatly appreciated.
