The One Minute Millionaire, by Mark Victor Hansen and Robert Allen, says that when you have a DREAM plus a TEAM plus a THEME you will create INCOME STREAMS.
A DREAM starts with 2 things; the desire to create wealth and the willingness to act. Some people simply don't have the desire to create wealth, and that is perfectly fine. Those of us in this organization, however, DO have the desire.
Many of us also think, perhaps mistakenly, that we have the willingness to act. I think that although many of us profess willingness to act, we too often find ourselves sabatoged by our fears. Not that we claim that fear... we don't tell anyone that we are afraid of success or afraid of failing, nor do we even usually feel that way. But our fears have a tendancy to go underground and show up in many other forms. We say that we are too busy to act, or too broke to begin. We say that we will act right after our favorite TV show, or once we get a new job. Our fears show up as excuses, procrastination and subtle sabotage... but they serve to rein in our willingness to act.
To make full use of your willingness to act, make sure your take daily action that supports your self-esteem and your fears. You can use affirmations, journaling, meditation, a buddy or mastermind group, motivational tapes, or any other method that works for you. But you are sure to create a strong foundation when you take time every day to address your fears and stay clear in your intentions.
The next step on the path is your TEAM. You can have a mentor, a partner, a study buddy, a team of professionals, a network, and what Allen and Hansen call the Infinite Network. The key to remember is that not only do you not need to do it all alone, there is no reason to try! You are simply more likely to be more successful if you take full advantage of the skills, support and resources of all of the competent people around you. Build a great team, and rely on them all you can.
And finally, we come to THEME. These are the millionaire mountains. Choose one or more of these paths to wealth.
1) Investments - accumulating shares of stocks, bonds, CDs.
2) Real Estate - owning properties
3) Business - marketing products, services or ideas
4) Internet - expanding possibilities
Imagine building your wealth... which one seems right to you?
