Mark Haskins is the new Director of Clinical Services at Behavioral Connections. He oversees and directs all outpatient assessment and therapy. A resident of Lambertville, Michigan, Mr. Haskins previously served on the staff of the Monroe County (Michigan) Mental Health Authority. He praises Behavioral Connections staff for reducing the waiting period for initial appointments from an average of seven weeks to one week. A new streamlined intake process for non-crisis clients had made this improvement possible, he reports.
The Children?’s Resource Center?’s new Program Manager for Prevention and Early Intervention is Dr. Deborah Goldberg. Program management and the Early Childhood Mental Health Initiative will be among Dr. Goldberg?’s responsibilities. A Ph.D. in Early Education, she previously taught at University of Toledo.
Behavioral Connections is inaugurating a walk-in assessment program this fall, reports BC counselor Beth Ricard. Clients may come in without appointments every Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. or 8:00 p.m. to complete the intake process, then schedule their clinical assessment. The program should save time for clients and reduce their wait for appointments.
