Woodland Heights Civic Association

I have lived in this neighborhood for 13 years and the snow removal for the snow we have had in those 13 years has been horrendous. I'm not talking about the time it takes to plow the streets, I'm talking about the mess left after the plow goes through. What is left is an icy mess that needs to be taken care of. We need a company who can not only plow the snow but also salt the streets so the strrets

are clear. I would rather have no plow go through at all then to have an ice rink to drive on.

I do not participate in any activities other than the yard sales so I do not pay the membership dues because I am not getting PROPER snow removal. Until there is a proper snow removal company used or the current one uses salt then I will continue not to contribute.

I have to agree with Brad at this point. I just finished shoveling-out my driveway. A normal plow-line can't be avoided and we all have to deal with it when it happens. However this morning, I went outside to find snow had actually been plowed into my driveway. The pile of snow was packed tight and hard to dig-out. This is just mean and unneccessary. I wish I'd taken photos to post before dealing with it. I will now join the ranks of those who do not pay civic association dues.   

Well, I came home today and discovered a good neighbor is doing the snow removal. He cleaned-up the bottom of our driveway, even though I'd already dug-it-out this morning...but still that was nice. We don't agree that what I had to deal with was "other than a normal", but its done and over and I thank him for coming back to make things right. He's a good neighbor and I hope there're no hard feelings over our disagreement.
