I'm with the gentleman talking about nazi. One person from the deed restrictions will tell you about being in violation of a city, state, federal law. HOA is not the law and doesn't have a badge and the HOA does not control the streets, which the city has heard a lot about and I don't think they need someone to do their  job. It seems like a lot of information HOA put outs is not deed restrictions but streching it to fit them. When I first moved in was fine and people were friendly but now the neighborhood looks stuffy and no one wants to get invovled because you may very unpopular due to the powers of HOA.

Acording to the HOA if you have a recreation trailer,boat etc. you are on the hit list.

Texas is to be a fun area,not looking for that HOA TELLING WHAT YOU CAN'T DO.  Give me a break. This isn't Hitler country. Its too bad Texas gave HOA there seperate country.

Just want my life and freedom back. This is America   

Unfortunately, HOAs have always been a problem for those people who didn't like to be told what to do. In this case, unfortunately, Woodland Oaks has quite a few residents who like to live like pigs, make their property look like a pile of trash, etc. I sat on the board from 1996-99 and it was difficult. You obviously don't understand how things work. You probably should have read the deeds and restriction information before occupying a residence with an HOA.

It appears like you didn't understand the issue. The issue is, Does the HOA own the streets or is it a HOA control issue of the streets. Is your comment that people of your HOA a bunch of slobs. Maybe a solution would be quite complaining and lend a helping hand to your neighbor.
