Sorry you feel it necessary to personalize tree decision as a single resident issue, it was not. We love trees, and are active Arbor Day donors. Tree removal was a safety issue for my family. We had three of the trees fall on or next to our property, two I cut and removed, the other city tree cost us over $1200 out of our pockets. Falling limbs made it dangerous for my grandson to play in our backyard on windy days.
I am thankful that Becky Ritz, other Councilmen, and the Mayor took timely action on our compaint. I hate the loss of mature trees and the privacy we had, but someones life may have been saved.
Lets all properly care for the trees we have in the city to prevent further losses.
