Code Enforcement is the agency to call about commercial vehicles and trailers. As far as lawn care, the ravines are now cut after Code Enforcement issued orders to them. The front area (along Waggoner RD. and the entrances) of the development is actually the responsibility of the homeowners that abut that area.

The HOA really has done a fair job considering the mess that MI Homes dumped on them. Since I am a Code Enforcement Officer for the city, I am working with the HOA to try and fix what MI has messed up. It is going to take some time though. I do urge all homeowners to pay their dues. I know it's not mandatory, but that will allow for the HOA to do things for the community such as replacing the front signs with stone signs, placing a fence along the front, planning activities and cookouts for the residents, and hopefully making the playground an enjoyable place for adults as well as children. Im not saying that these things are in the works now, but with everybodys assistance we can make our neighborhood really something special. The HOA is not about just the board, it's all of the residents in the community and it take all of them to make a change. Being a homeowner in WOJ I would like to see everybody help out. Not just putting the responsibility on the HOA. They only represent us. Without the help of each and every homeowner the HOA will die. Then the neighborhood will surely decline.

Dues

I rec'd a notice stating our dues were overdue & we needed to pay interest. I was disappointed to receive this, as it was the first bill I had received. We just moved in one year ago & the dues were paid at that time. I spoke to someone a couple of months later who stated we owed nothing at that time. My next communication was a notice with extra fees added!!?? I'm hoping this doesn't happen again. If it does I will definitely investigate. This time I just went ahead & paid it, but I would like to be contacted prior to receiving a notice of late fees. We lived in a homeowners association for 12 years prior to moving here & we had never been late paying our annual dues. I'm looking forward to better communication. Thanks!
no visible results of money

I, like many of my neighbors, have seen little to no improvement in the neighborhood, as applies to snow plows, or general appearance. Where does our money go? I have paid association dues since I have moved here, but I really do not know what for! I have seen no visible results from the money that we pay each year. There are nearly 2000 residents of Woods at Jeff. If everyone made a payment, that would mean the association is RECEIVING OVER $100,000 a year !!!!!! I would like to know ASAP where this money is going. I think this is ridiculous, and will stop paying annual fees until I know where this extravagant amount is going, especially if it is not mandatory to pay fees.
