THE WOODS OF NORTHLAKE CIVIC ASSOCIATION

The first association meeting for 2000 was called to order by the president, Dave Ebert. Members attending were: Dave Ebert, Sam Gunter, Dominica A. Barrera, Clifford Grant, Nancy Richie, Bill Coulton, Cliff Dunaway, Betsey Dunaway, Ruth W. Tamayo, Mitchell Williams, Pilar Michelsen, Luis Michelsen, Anne Chihade, Linda Davis, Mark Maharg, Phyrell Mills, Wanda Garrett, Jim Marks, Judi Marks, Joe Kusmik, Laurie Botstein, John P. Gusdon, Millie Roman, Frank Boyd, Betty Cousar.

Treasurer Dominica Barrera handed out copies of the financial report showing deposits and withdrawals from Jan. 1, 1999 -Sept. 5, 2000. This report is on the backside of this page.

Appreciation was expressed to Sam Gunter, Dave Ebert, Wanda Garrett, Dominica Barrera, and Pat Dotson for all they did to provide such a beautiful entrance to the subdivision. Special thanks was given to Sam Gunter for the many hours of unpaid labor he has given to maintaining the front entrance.

The final phase of the entrance redesign includes lighting the trees and sign. Day laborers will be hired to dig the trench for the electric cable. Since the meeting Scott Larson has agreed to hook up the electricity and to oversee the project. Many thanks to Scott for doing this for us.

Due to ongoing front entrance maintenance (electricity, water, mowing, weeding, mulching, fertilizing, flowers, etc.), the association voted to ask each household to pay $75.00 in dues for 2000.

Jack Woodall and Dominica Barrera are researching maintenance firms for the front entrance. The officers were given permission to make the selection.

Linda Davis, Pilar Michelsen, Ruth Tamayo, and Cliff Dunaway agreed to pass out association flyers when needed.

Joe Kusmik was thanked for doing past and current directories. Forms for updating the current directory are included in this newsletter.

A social evening in November is being planned for the association. Committee members are: Joe & Gloria Kusmik, chairs; Wanda Garrett, Clifford Grant, Laurie Botstein, and Nancy Richie.

Deep appreciation for his work as president was expressed to Dave Ebert. He and Sam Gunter have given exceptional service to the association and will be greatly missed when they move. Other officers were also thanked: vice president Wanda Garrett; secretary Betty Cousar; treasurer Dominica Barrera; directors Wayne Anderson, Glenn Ross, and Jack Woodall.
New officers elected are: president, Wanda Garrett; vice president, Clifford Grant (770-908-8638); secretary, Betty Cousar ; treasurer, Dominica Barrera . Board of directors are Mitchell Williams, Phyrell Mills, Jack Woodall, and Bill Coulton.
